These by no means tell you everything you need for a full-featured virtual life, but they should get you into SL and onto the water!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sailvirtual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/200511SLintro1F.pdf\">Tutorial 1:<\/a><\/strong>  creating your SL account and first avatar, finding a boat, rezzing it inworld, getting aboard, and learning to drive it.  40 slides.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sailvirtual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/200512SLintro2F.pdf\">Tutorial 2:<\/a><\/strong>  getting a real sailboat (with sails that have to be trimmed properly), navigating.  17 slides.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sailvirtual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/200512SLintro3F.pdf\">Tutorial 3:<\/a> <\/strong> &#8220;getting social&#8221; with Groups, Yacht Clubs, Friends; how to get involved in racing and cruising, learning to send and accept Friend and Teleport requests, and <em>signing up for<strong> Sailstice in SL!<\/strong><\/em>.  21 slides.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>YouTube Videos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCZyc9TSk8-zl0BbXfmQra8g\/videos\" target=\"_blank\">Jake&#8217;s SL Racing Videos on YouTube<\/a><\/strong> is probably the best instructional video series anywhere. He even explains the physics of how it works in real life.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Other SL Sailing Websites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sailinginsl.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Big Sailing in Second Life<\/a><\/strong> blog is a bit dated but still has a ton of great information in it.<\/li><li><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/fscup.wordpress.com\" target=\"_blank\">The Free Spirit Cup<\/a><\/strong> is the &#8220;SL ultimate match racing competition.&#8221;  The third annual competition is just finishing up in SL as I write this in mid-April 2020.<\/li><li><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/backwaterbayracing.wordpress.com\" target=\"_blank\">North Sea Racing<\/a><\/strong> posts events and information for sailors who enjoy this area including the North Sea, Eden and the Fruit Islands.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nantucketyc.wordpress.com\">Nantucket Yacht Club<\/a><\/strong> is a new site, still under construction, from one of the original clubs in Second Life.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/orcaflotta.blog\/?s=sailing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Orcaflotta&#8217;s  Blog<\/a><\/strong> covers everything in SL.
